Diablo III: Look at all the shiny

One of the things I’m really enjoying about playing Diablo 3 again is discovering all the new content that’s been added in patches and Reaper of Souls — the last time I seriously played being the months immediately after launch.

Apparently now when you kill a Treasure Goblin, there’s a chance they’ll leave behind a portal to the Treasure Realm, which is basically Diablo’s answer to what Gringott’s would be like if all the goblins turned bloodthirsty and wanted to kill you dead.

Greed
“Rumors speak of a greedy Baroness who sends forth minions to collect treasure, equipped with gems to aid in gathering ever more. Boon of the Hoarder is said to be one of these precious gems.”

After a short, but very profitable dungeon-crawl in which the local scenary showered me with gold, I found myself in the inner sanctum, home to Greed, the Baroness of the Treasure Realm, the zone’s final boss. A reasonably straight-forward fight ensued, as it always does, and I ended up waltzing off with several million gold, a horde of gems, a handful of legendaries, and most importantly, my first legendary gem, Boon of the Hoarder.
